I've been to that track several times. Very neat and historic track. I remember when I went to a race there back in 1999 with Ryan Newman when he was driving a Sprint car for another team. When he drove in USAC, his cars were built by Dan Drinan (really good cars too), but this was for some crummy team.
Drinan's younger brother was racing that night too and got into a nasty wrecking, flipping just after the S/F line. It was pretty disturbing seeing the car flipping down the track and the guy's brother running towards the wreck before it was even over.
The guy's heart actually stopped beating but he was resuscitated on the way to the hospital. Hopefully he pulls thru and can get past this. He was actually getting ready to try and make a move to the Indycar feeder series next year. Sounds like that won't be happening now.
