SteeveMelson wrote: July 26th, 2014, 11:44 pm I wanted to wait until I saw the report. But after the race I went and looked at lap 108 incident even though I served a penalty for it. The 17 went in high and gave the whole bottom lane to me and i took it. I maintained my line. Then the 17 came down a lane and a half and spun himself on my nose. This call is inconsistant with an earlier call made in the season that involved the 13 and 15 at Darlington. The 13 did the same thing gave the bottom then came down the track across the 15's nose and was charged the incident. Why is it different this time??? Does the guy in front get to use the entire track high and low. Choose a lane and stick with it. Block at own risk.

Not that a protest matters at this point seeing as Dustin and I cannot vote and we only have 5 members. I was wondering if Bones could have another look at this as my protest instead....also look at the Darlington incident that went against the 13 car please. Wondering why two similar incidents were 2 different calls. Not to be rude, but the Darlington call was the reason my dad stopped running this series, because that call was not consistant with similar incidents and now I have noticed too. Not overly impressed. Just being honest.

That's an Apex racing line. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racing_line On the straight and entering the corner you were not in position to make this move. If you were on the inside and low like Zak or inside me on entrance of the corner you may have had a slight chance to make this work. Image

"Does the guy in front get to use the entire track high and low. Choose a lane and stick with it. Block at own risk." These aren't slot cars Steve. If I was going to block you. I would have stayed low. With 7 to go. it's your job and responsibility to pass me clean. As the leader I could have or can block you. In this case you did not have position according to the league rules on car position. Which I believe is in place to prevent kamikaze and dive bombing. Which I honestly don't think was your intent.

Jeff, when i mentioned blocking it wasn't to say you were blocking. The only reason I mentioned it was if the call was made that way based on the fact blocking is allowed at the end of the race then it must be done at own risk. I raced around you quite a bit that race and I never saw you take that wide of an entrance. I'm not saying it was your fault and I am not taking blame either. My whole point to here is my issue with the call not being consistant with other calls from other races. Please download the other replay I posted. The 13 was running the normal Darlington line in 3 and 4. He had been doing it lap after lap as was I. The 15 should not have poked his nose in there either. All I am saying is if this one is on me, then the other one should have been on the 15. If the Darlington one was on the 13 then this should be on you... Either way. just complaining due to lack of consistancy. Was not blaming you Jeff. Hope were all good. Don't take any offence to this.
