RTR Rules & Format Changes for Season 57

Current rule re: Incidents not bringing out the Caution.
The Driver who was spun may make a complaint/protest post race to the race director.
A lengthy and healthy discussion was held around proposing a rule that would have the Race Admins throw the caution when a certain number of vehicles are involved in an accident, but no caution is thrown by the game. After this discussion, It became clear that there was more research, driver input and consideration needed to format a rule proposal and to determine the specific criteria and best administration practices of this rule as to avoid unintended race/driver consequences or subjectivity. RTG Staff will be meeting again on this matter and driver assistance and input is requested and urged, so that a proposal could be bought up for a vote at a future meeting.

Current rule re: Being placed on 1 and park for the remainder of the season.
If you cause 5 incidents in one series per season, you will be on the 1 and park for the remainder of the season.
If a driver with 5 incidents completes 2 races with no incidents, he/she will be removed from the 1 and park penalty.
Once removed, the driver will be re-added season 1 and park if the driver has another incident. This will not impact or alter the overall incident total for the driver.
After discussion, proposed rule change;
If you cause 5 incidents in one series per season, you will be on the 1 and park for the remainder of the season.
Vote PASSED

Current rule re: Causing another driver to get a black flag.
If after a post race replay review it is found that a driver causes another driver to get a black flag, the driver at fault will receive a post race -1 lap penalty and be scored behind everyone on that lap
After discussion, proposed “addition” to this rule specifically relating to speeding on pit road;
Causing another driver to get a black flag for speeding on pit road - A driver who “directly by contact” causes another driver to get a black flag for speeding on pit road shall be guilty of the above section and receive that penalty. A driver may only request a speeding black flag to be cleared IF that speeding was a “direct result of contact from another driver”. The driver must have immediately returned to pit speed and not have committed any other black flag offenses. A driver who requests a valid black flag to be cleared shall be guilty of having a legitimate black flag cleared and receive that penalty.

Vote PASSED

Additional Items brought up

-Fantasy Racing and Talladega Challenge format discussion with Series Admins. Donnie Garrett discussed the possibility of bringing back his Tally Challenge Fantasy Racing Series for Season 57. Discussion was help and input received on other possible format alterations.

-Backing up on the track to cross the start/finish line. Discussion held regarding drivers backing up to cross the start/finish line after an incident and whether an additional incident rule should be proposed. No proposal brought forward for membership vote at this time.

- Dante mentioned possible Winter mini Series during the "transition period" End of Season 57 through Start of Season 58. Dates and Details will be announced in the future if this happens.

Meeting adjourned at 10:16pm est
