RTR Rules & Format Changes for Season 58
A) Current Rule:
Discussion: Back in the day, we used to speed in the pits to serve penalties. The rule was changed to a 4 tire stop. When tire limits were put in place, speeding in pits option was re introduced to allow for saving tire stops. This was later removed. Now since there are no more tire limit races, return rule to original speeding in the pits rule.If you are the cause of an Incident or think you are the cause you must do a 4 tire pit stop on the 2nd caution lap or later.
New Rule: If you are the cause of an Incident or think you are the cause you must speed in the pits to recieve an EOLL penalty AS SHOWN ON THE EXPORT on the 2nd caution lap or later.
Vote Passed 10-9
B) Current Rule:
Discussion: We've had several instances here lately with tracks that have kicked multiple drivers out during the event. Hard to argue a mechanical failure "on your end" when this is the case.If a driver loses connection during a race we do NOT give laps back.
This is considered a mechanical failure on your end.
The only exception to this would be a server glitch which causes several cars to lose connection.
New Rule: If a driver loses connection during a race and you end up 2-5 laps down, the admins can bring you to 1 lap down. Limit once per driver per race.
If this right becomes abused, post race penalties may occur.
Vote Passed 11-8
C) Stage Points Discussion. Determined to be formatting rule, similar to the choose cone option rule.
Vote: If you would like to see the director have the option to incorporate stage racing and points into their series, please set yourself away.
New Rule Addition to RTR Points System Section: Admins are allowed to incorperate stage racing for a season at their discrecion.
Vote Passed 12-7
IMPORTANT: This is NOT a mandatory system. It only means that the series directors may choose to use or choose not use this system and have full authority to decide on all of its nuances at their sole discretion within their series. It is highly recommended to post all procedures preseason within your series forums.
D) Current Rule:
Example: Driver gets a black flag for speeding in pits under green flag pit stop and the yellow comes out before they can pit to serve the black flag.Drivers that get a black flag for unintentionally passing a car while pitting may request to have there black flag cleared, but they must be EOLL on the Restart.
This does not include passing the pace car or intentionally passing cars.
Penalty for not being EOLL would be a -1 lap post race penalty .
