Well, we are reaching the close of another great week of racing and of friendships, and the final event of the week, The NRT500 is upon us.

First, we would like to thank everyone who has turned out and participated in this great event for the nr2003 community. You are a very special group and we appreciate you ALL. We would like to deeply thank all those who have given of themselves to make this event the special thing that it has become for all of us. This year's featured sponsors, Rolling Thunder Gaming, Dave Stanley-NRT Game Servers, Tooslow Graphics, DRTV, Midwest Sim Racing, East Coast Thunder and Fast Racing Championships. All the leagues and individuals who have generously donated prizes this year and are listed on the NRT500 main page. Please check them out. All those who have already pledged support for NRT 2016. We also give huge thanks to EVERYONE, whether they wished to be recognized or not, that has unselfishly given of themselves to help and contribute to making this event so successful and that everyone would hopefully enjoy it.

NRT Week is a special thing that we have all come to embrace. We can't thank Terry Bauman enough, for having the vision and creating this event for us all, and for all his tireless work, often at great personal cost, to make this vision come to reality for everyone. So many have worked so hard to make this event special, because it is that vision that we have all embraced and believe in.

You see, NRT Week is not supposed to be about any one driver, or for that matter, any one group or league. It is about all of us in the nr2003 community. It's all our opportunity each year to get together and to race together, while making new friends, renewing old friendships, exchanging ideas and views and celebrating the great things about what we all love to do, while helping to keep the nr2003 community alive and strong.

NRT Week is about everyone. Sure, we all want to win and want to celebrate that win with our group or league. We are racers and we are competitors, that is what we do. With everyone turning out, whether they be a single driver, a small group from a startup league or a large group of a long established league, it's about all being together and racing together. It's about the guy who helps to push another guy that he just met on the starting grid. The guy that liked the way the other guy raced and a friendship is born. The guys that pitched in and helped somebody that was struggling with technical issues or game settings. The guys that cheered, and watched some great clean racing between drivers, and the class moves and character that they displayed. The guy that had trouble in his race, only to immediately praise the other drivers and thank everyone for giving him the opportunity to participate in this event. It's about the respect the drivers and the leagues hopefully show to each other. But most of all, it is about having fun together and enjoying what we all love to do. This is the true vision and purpose of NRT week.

We cannot state enough how proud we all are to be part of this community and this event. With 170 drivers registered to participate this year and only 36 advancing to the final race, we equally feel both the joy of all those who made it, and the disappointment of the majority that did not. But one thing is certain. We appreciate EVERYONE. Our nr2003 community is filled with great people and class acts. WE THANK YOU AND WE SALUTE YOU ALL!!

So, with the week coming to an end, and all of us returning to our respective leagues to continue having fun and doing what we enjoy, lets join together and celebrate one more race. The NRT500 is here!! For those not racing, please feel free to join us on TeamSpeak in the NRT Lounge and enjoy the race with all the different drivers and different leagues, in the true spirit of what NRT Week is.

Once again, we thank ALL those who have given of themselves, and all those from RTG who have spent sleepless nights, weeks, months and a full year of dedicated planning and hard work to bring this event to everyone. Our hats are off to YOU!!

Terry Bauman, David Canon and Sean Prime on behalf of EVERYONE at Rolling Thunder Gaming.
