RTR Season 26 End of the Season Meeting

Hey guys we are having the S26 end of season meeting on Sunday July 15,2012 @ 2pm est.

This meeting is mandatory for all RTR Directors/Admins.

All drivers are welcome and encouraged to attend this meeting.

As always this will be a 2 part meeting.

1st part is to set all our series for Season 27.

2nd part will be to discuss any possible rules and format changes for Season 27.

If there is anything you would like discussed at this meeting please post it here.

Double file restarts like Excel.
Bring back Substitute drivers.
Penalties for intentionally cutting the course on Road Courses.
Random yellow on road Courses.
Discuss realistic damage.
Throw yellow on pit road accidents under green.
Throw caution if race goes caution free for certain amount of laps.
Revise lap down car drive threw rule.
3 incidents and parked for a race like Excel.
Point penalty for causing a caution.
Give 2 point bonus to all drivers in caution free race.
Driver causes a wreck and ends another drivers night they should finish in the points behind the driver they wrecked.
Minimum speed limit for damaged cars.

A few people have brought up the idea of throwing a caution if there is an incident while entering the pits under green.

Also, the mandatory random Road Course caution thing like was done at Road America.

1. Would like to see and or discuss the possibility of a cumulative 3 and park for one race rule. For example, collect 3 incidents ( in one race, or over several races) and your parked for one race, the next race you come back to, your basically on a one and park (2 incidents); have to run a "clean" race to clear one of your incidents.

2. Would also like to see a rule for if someone causes a wreck and ends another drivers night they should finish in the points behind the driver they wrecked.

on the above post another alternate way and perhaps easier to track is too:

deduct 5 points from each driver for each incident caused
(a guy can get say 10 incidents in the course of a season and lose 50 points,another may only get 4 and lose 20 points that'll shake up the standings and reward cleaner drivers)

RTR Rules & Format Changes for Season 25
We will be using double file restarts like excel in S27, but not until chase in Nationwide.
We will have several fun races in the off season to practice this.
New double file restart procedures.
1. Admin will use his car to mark the restart point on the track in practice and Happy Hour.
2. Lapped cars must pit on the 2nd caution lap, will no longer have to drive thew on 1 to go.
3. Driver that caused the cation must pit on the 2nd caution lap and line-up behind the lap down cars on the restart.
4. Lucky Dog will remain the same as it is now except the Lucky Dog must wait to go around the track until we get the green, Wave arounds will follow the lucky dog. these cars will line up single file behind the field.
5. Once we take the green flag the leader will line up high or low (Should announce this on the 1 to go), 2nd place lines up opposite the leader. The rest of the field will line up odd positions low and even positions high.
6. If any lap down cars are mixed in with any lead lap cars they must drop behind the lead lap cars.
7. No cars are allowed to pit after we get 1 to go.
Exception: If you received a black flag during the caution you may drive threw pit road or do a stop and go to clear it (do NOT put on tires or add fuel). After leaving pit road you must line up at the End of the line behind the EOLL car.
8. When the leader reaches +/- 2 car lengths of the restart point he starts the field. He must be the 1st car to reach the start/finish line. If any cars beat the leader to the starting line they will get a bf or 1 lap penalty.
Exception: If the leader spins his tires or has a mechanical failure no penalty will be accessed.

Penalties per race
1st 2 times = Safely slow down to 20mph and then go again
3rd time = -1lap penalty
4th time = DQ

Throw competition caution on Road courses...set pace speed at 30mph.....Vote Passed

Discussed realistic damage....remains the same

Admin throw yellow for pit road accidents under green.....Voted down

If you wreck someone and end there race you should be scored behind them.....Voted down

No Clearing Black flags...add exceptions to rules.

We will have to make several amendments, revisions and deletions to the rules do to the new double file restart rule.

The new S27 rules will be posted the weekend after S26 is done. Please read them before S27 starts.
