Lap 5 #67 gets into #72; #67 parked.

Lap 43 #8 blows a motor; no incident charged. There was a second incident between #6 and #2 as neither driver slowed down for the wreck until it was way too late to avoid causing another wreck. Both drivers are charged with the incident and are also charged with Careless Driving.

Lap 59 #74 and #86 get together. Neither car was on the lead lap, nor were they on the same lap as each other, so neither driver had anything to gain or lose by racing that hard at that point in the race. Both drivers are charged with the incident and are also charged with Careless Driving.

DNQ's: #39, #17, #77
1-and-Parks: #28, #67, #2, #6, #74, #86
1-and-Parks next two weeks: none
Parked next race: none

Penalties/Warnings:
Careless Driving (1 lap penalty, per RTR rules): #2, #6, #74, #86

JoshM wrote: May 15th, 2017, 9:15 am I greatly appreciate it, Dan. I take no pleasure in these instances but I think it's a good way to try and keep the racing as clean as possible without overstepping our boundaries as admins. I have no issue at all with drivers going for every spot they can get, but we also want to preach "situational awareness" when there is little to gain but a lot to lose.

Trust me, you aren't the first person to have this penalty, and you won' be the last. It's not an attack on you or your driving. Last week was a pretty clean race actually, but we had 2 separate wrecks that I felt didn't need to happen at all. Hard racing cause wrecks; there is no getting around that. It's the avoidable ones that we want to limit as much as possible.

Don't get down about it. Remember it's a game and we are all here to have fun!

JoshM wrote: May 16th, 2017, 8:58 am No worries at all Jim. Like I mentioned before, it's not something we do to humiliate or insult anyone at all. The hope is these situations can be used to improve the series. The "penalty" was more of a warning. Nobody is parked or on probation or anything like that. It was a pretty clean race over all. I'm looking forward to the next one already!

Lap 11 #4 gives a bad bump to #17; #4 served his penalty.

Lap 33 #710 gets into some cars entering the pits; #710 served his penalty.

Lap 52 #6 starts to slow to pit and gets spun by #77. #6 was still on the race track when he began to slow, so no penalty is charged to #77. Also on this lap, #43 gets into #14 while getting onto pit road. #43 did not serve a penalty and is docked 1 lap in the final standings.

Lap 61 The game throws a debris caution; there was no wreck so no incidents charged. During this caution, the lap down drivers were ordered to pit road a second time as the drive-through did not get them to the back of the pack. #6 forgot to do this and is scored EOLL for that lap.

And on another topic, the Bracket Series is set. We start this Thursday. Link is here - http://challonge.com/RTG41. Good luck drivers!
