Season Starts Monday, January 8, 2024

This Series will use the RTR NR2003 Rules

We use the updated core.ini for this series


Race Settings
Day = Monday
Practice = Server will open by 7:30 pm ET
Drivers Meeting = 8:30pm ET
Qualify = 8:35-8:45 pm ET
Mod = FCRD_NCS22_v1_cts
Damage = Moderate-Realistic
Pit Freq = 2x-3x
Race % = 30%-40%
Weather = 70deg & clear
Fixed set-up....All sets will use the "BB_track name" CTS set-up.

RULE CHANGES FOR SEASON 61:
  • New section in the forum created for drivers to protest incidents
  • RTG Staff has the ability to use "Virtual Safety Car" to get the field back together
  • Retiring from your stall while car is being serviced and causing a yellow will be charged as an incident



STAGE POINTS - New for Season 61
  • Stage points will be awareded to the top 10 drivers at the halfway point in each race. If the halfway lap is a "half lap" (.5), the next full lap will be considered halfway.
  • For example, if the race is 117 laps, halfway is 58.5 laps. However, lap 59 would be the lap stage points are awarded
  • Leader - 10 stage points
  • 2nd - 9 stage points
  • 3rd - 8 stage points
  • 4th - 7 stage points
  • 5th - 6 stage points
  • 6th - 5 stage points
  • 7th - 4 stage points
  • 8th - 3 stage points
  • 9th - 2 stage points
  • 10th - 1 stage point


CHASE FOR THE BAREBONES CHAMPIONSHIP

To be eligible for the Chase and a chance at the overall championship, drivers must meet these two requirements
1) Be in the top 12 in overall standings at the end of the regular season (race #8)
2) Be in the top 20 in overall standings with a win at the end of the regular season (race #8)

The Chase will be the last 5 races of the season.

The points for the drivers in the Chase will be reset to 500 after race #8. Everyone else’s points will remain unchanged. The driver leading the points at the end of the regular season (race #8) will receive 3 bonus points. All drivers in the chase will receive an addition 3 points for each race win in the regular season.

After Race #10 (Chase Race #2), any Chase driver with a win in the first 2 races of the Chase will move on to the Top 8. The remainder of the Top 8 will be determind by the drivers with the most points. The Top 8 drivers will have their points reset to 700. Everyone else's points will remain unchanged. The driver leading the points at the end of the regular season will receive 2 bonus points if they make it into the Top 8. Each of the Top 8 drivers will receive an additional 2 bonus points for race wins, both in the regular season and Chase.

Following Race #12 (Chase Race #4), any Chase driver with a win in the 3rd or 4th Chase race will move on to the Championship 4. The remainder of the Championship 4 will be determind by the drivers with the most points. The Championship 4 drivers will have their points reset to 900. Everyone else's points will remain unchanged. No bonus points for regular seaons Championship or race wins will be given.

The Driver with the most points at the end of race #13, will be crowned the Season 61 Barebones Racing Series Champion. In the event of a tie, following criteria will decide the champion:
- Most Wins
- Most Top 5's
- Most Top 10's
- Finishing position in Race #13

The top 20 drivers following race #4 will be entered into the Barebones Racing Eliminator.
  • Lowest finishing 2 drivers in each event (Race #5 – Race #12) will be Eliminated until 3 drivers remain
  • If one of the 2 lowest finishing drivers is the previous week's winner, they are exempt from elimination and the 3rd lowest finishing driver will be eliminated
  • The final 4 drivers will compete against each other in the finale. Highest finisher is Champion.
  • Provisionals WILL count towards the Eliminator Series for drivers not already eliminated
